As the political, economic, and cultural center for more than 3,000 years, Henan holds a special place in the Chinese history.

Four Clasical Routes


Kungfu Tour

Henan is the birth place of Shaolin Kungfu which is originated from Shaolin Temple. A large amount of foreigners come to experience Kungfu each year. They can learn a few moves and enjoy a set-cultivation and meditation. Shaolin Zen Music Ritual is the largest outdoor show and the best explanation of Zen culture and Shaolin Kungfu. 

Moreover, Taichi is another school of Kungfu in Chinese martial art culture, and it was born at Chenjiagou, Henan. Tai Chi is well-known for its underlining philosophy of balancing between Yin and Yang, and it has profound effects on improving health and even curing certain diseases. Therefore, more and more Tai Chi fans come to Chenjiagou to pilgrimage and practice Taichi.

Puyang is the home to acrobatics with the most representative acrobatics opera – Water Show. Against the background of water curtain, the repertoire displays colorful and fabulous acrobatic art.

Ancient Capital Culture Tour

Four out of Eight Chinese Ancient Capitals are located in Henan, they are Luoyang, Zhengzhou, Kaifeng and Anyang.

As the capital of thirteen dynasties, Luoyang is the famous cultural city. The World Cultural Heritage Longmen Grottoes is known as China’s largest treasure house of royal stone carving art. A large number of tourists are attracted by the unique historical relics like Emperor’s Chariot Drawn by six horses, the Guanyu’s Mausoleum and Luoyang Water Banquet. Luoyang Peony Festival is from April to May annually, which is the national flower of China. 

Zhengzhou is the earliest city in the world to implement city walls. As one of three largest museums in China, Henan Museum assembles the brilliant culture of Ancient China. Modern Zhengzhou is full of fashion and vitality. Zhengdong New District International Conference and Exhibition Center, Henan Arts Center, international branded hotels, all of them will offer excellent tourist experience for every visitor.

Kaifeng used to be the capital of 8 dynasties. Millennium City Park was built based on the famous painting “Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival”. Inside the park you can see bustling market, historical dramas and unique technique of performance. In the evening we can also watch the outdoor-show Dongjing Menghua performance, or walk alongside the Yuhe River to enjoy the beautiful night scene.

Anyang has become the capital of Shang Dynasty in the 14th century B.C. The oracle bone inscriptions found in Yin Ruins is one of the world’s four ancient characters.

Yellow River Tour

The Yellow River is the cradle of Chinese civilization. Henan is located at the middle and downstream of the Yellow River which is known as the Mother river of China.

Sanmenxia is the west gate of Henan Province, which is known as “the City of Swans”. The patio and kiln house here witnesses the evolvements of human caves-living and is called as the ancient village under the horizon.

The Yellow River Scenic Area of Zhengzhou enjoys spectacular river landscape . 

Leisure Tour to the beautiful landscapes

Henan has distinct seasons along with abundant natural landscapes.

Yuntai Mountain in Jiaozuo, as a UNESCO certified world geopark, is well known for its amazing gorge spectacle. Taihang Mountain bestows its most magnificent part to Henan province. Songshan Mountain is another UNESCO certified world geopark, as well as a cultural melting spot among Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism.
