A Journey to Inspiration in Inner Mongolia

A Journey to Inspiration in Inner Mongolia

Welcome to the Nomadland

Inner Mongolia is located right in North China, mainly inhabited by the Mongolian minority. Historically the legendary Emperor Genghis Khan left many amazing cultural legacies on the vast and profound soil which shine vividly in the masterpiece of The Secret History of the Mongols.

Take an adventure to the ancient site of the Yuan Upper Capital. Being listed as a World Cultural Heritage, the now famous tourist attraction stands as strong testimony to the amazing ancient civilization of Chinese nomadic groups, whose heydays were also highlighted by the past Italian traveler Marco Polo in The Travels of Marco Polo.

The Nomadic culture has passed down through thousands of years and bred numerous splendid cultural and historical heritages, including the Ancient Tea Route, which is part of the Silk Road, Mongolian typical music Long Tune, Mongolian dance, and the Nadam Festival, an occasion to meet and compete and have fun.

Let's see it on the road

Inner Mongolia is a land blessed with rich and diversified natural resources, where expansive Hulun Buir grassland stretches to the sky and the magnificent Arshaan mountains rise amid thick forests and volcanos. The land is for all-season travel, with each and every season distinctive for its beautiful and unique offerings.

Seek holiday inspiration at the Lotus Hotel, Singing Sand Bay, a world-class hotel built right at the heart of desert which perfectly combines luxury with authenticity, and modernity with simplicity. Your stay would be packed with all fun activities: 4WD driving, sand sliding, star-gazing, camel riding, and pool swimming, etc.

Bath yourself in the 42 hot springs at the cradle of Arshaan Mountain. The mineral water is a precious gift from mother nature and bestowed with strong healing powers. Track the Quaternary Glacier in the Hexigten Geopark. And experience ‘ice and fire’ contrast by then visiting the Chahar Volcano Geopark. Or for spiritual inspiration, go to the Guangzong Temple in Helan Mountains, which enshrines the relics of the legendary sixth Dalai Lama Tsangyang Gyatso.

Inner Mongolia does have it all for a traveler. Immerse yourself in our online exhibition for more inspiration.
