The Yellow River originates from the north of the Mt. Bayankala on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. It connects with the Mt. Kunlan to the west, the Mt. Yin to the north, the Mt. Qin to the south and the Bo Sea to the east. From west to east, it stretches throughout the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, the Inner Mongolia Plateau, the Huangtu Plateau and the Northern Plains, where there are numerous high mountains, lakes, grasslands, wetlands, glaciers, gorges and plains. Over recent years, locals alongside the Yellow River have been committed to environmental protection under the concept of “clear waters and green mountains are gold and silver”. Ecological culture and protection have enabled travelers to better appreciate many iconic natural wonders, such as the Qinghai Lake, Yellow River Nine Twists, Hukou Waterfalls, Yellow River Three Gorges and the Yellow River Mouth into the Sea.
